Polishing, deburring and sanding have traditionally been some of the most difficult tasks to automate, due to the precision, adaptability and consistency required.
Thanks to an industrial force sensor, and a force control algorithm, JAKA cobots are able to perform these tasks, even on complicated surfaces, or surfaces with irregular shapes.
The force sensor can be installed at the base or at the end of the cobot arm, depending on customer requirements.
Once up and running, users can choose between three force options: constant force, normal tracking and speed mode.
Constant force ensures more consistent force application than a human could ever achieve.
The contact force value is displayed in real time, and the control settings can be adjusted instantaneously.
Built-in collision detection ensures that this can be performed alongside a human, without the need for a safety fence. Drag and visual programming allows for a fast assignment of tasks.
